When I put the site up I put up a small poll on the front page that surveyed anyone who visited the site. No login is necessary to participate. So far of 201 surveyed, 143 (71%) preferred that the newsletter appear in email.

The next steps for the site will be two fold. The committee discussed this in detail already at the August meeting where it was decided that we would keep the original format of the current newsletter whilst publishing some of the content from that newsletter on separate areas of the site. This apparent redundancy is necessary as we preserve what the readership is used to, while making articles portable to be viewed in Twitter, Facebook, RSS Feeds, etc.

Currently the newsletter is published in a simple format, however we are planning on moving the Newsletter page from captured images of the PDF to a dynamic page that will look like the current newsletter but behave like a website so that we can publish articles into this framework and email it in it's entirety to your email instead of sending out a PDF. It will be here that you can share individual articles from the newsletter with your friends and colleagues with links for social web and email.
